Dan Winterich

Dan is Professor of Criminal Justice at Lakeland Community College and has previously taught at John Carroll University, the University of Akron, and Bowling Green State University.  He has twenty-one years of law enforcement experience which included seven years as a Police Officer with the City of Cleveland Heights and fourteen years as a Senior Special Agent with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI).  He is also a Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst through the International Association for Identification and a court qualified expert in crime scene investigation, bloodstain pattern analysis, shooting incident reconstruction, and crime scene reconstruction.  Dan is a graduate of the 236th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia and holds a B.S. in Psychology from John Carroll University and a J.D. from Cleveland State University.
