Welcome to the Lakeland Library Newsletter! Each month, we will showcase classes, events, and other fun and interesting facts about the Library and our staff. We will also keep you informed of new resources and services that are designed to assist you in your course work, and personal and professional lives.
Available Technical Services
Serials: Full-text Periodical Articles. Many magazine articles can be accessed online from the Lakeland Library Catalog. As an example, Audubon magazine articles can be viewed by searching for the title in the catalog. Several clicks will connect you directly to current and past articles of this magazine.
Interlibrary Loan: Article Exchange. Need to find an article that is not available in FiSH or the Electronic Journal Center? Contact a reference librarian at reflibrarian@lakelandcc.edu or call 440-525-7425 to request an article through Interlibrary Loan. When your article is received, it will be delivered to you electronically.

Lakeland Library is committed to assisting you during the Covid-19 crisis. We are here to help! Although the library is closed for face-to-face services, we will continue to offer services outlined in this newsletter online throughout the rest of the semester during normal library hours:

Mediation Guide offers a description of basic meditation practice, as well as resources on mindfulness practices, including e-books, articles, videos, podcasts, and apps.
Down Dog is offering free access to their apps including Down Dog, Yoga for Beginners, HITT, Barre, and 7 Minute Workouts until July 1st for students and teachers from K-12 schools and colleges. Just sign up using your Lakeland email.
Project Gutenberg offers over 60,000 FREE ebooks in full-text to download or read online. No special app is needed. Search for your favorite author or for the book title that you have been planning to read, but never had the time.

Research Help: Reference Librarians will respond to your questions via chat, email, and phone.
One-On-One research appointments: We will provide one-on-one research appointments synchronously via the WebEx platform. Please login to myLakeland and request a one-on-one session by clicking One-On-One Request Form
Instruction: Information literacy instruction is available for classes synchronously via WebEx. Instructors, please request a session by logging into myLakeland and clicking Information Literacy Request Form. Instruction videos and embedded librarian services are also available.
