Welcome to the Lakeland Library Newsletter!  Each month, we will showcase classes, events, and other fun and interesting facts about the Library and our staff. We will also keep you informed of new resources and services that are designed to assist you in your course work, and personal and professional lives.

Manda Leuders

Started at LCC: Manda first started working in the circulation department a year ago. She moved to the reference department this fall after graduating from Kent State with a Masters in Library Science. 

Other places she has lived: Krakow and Warsaw, Poland

Currently watching on Netflix: The Haunting of Hill House which gave her nightmares for two weeks.

Topic she can talk about for hours: Animals, especially her dog Carly Simon and cat George Michael

Favorite vegetable: Asparagus

Stop in for guided meditation Tuesday, December 11th, 9:00AM-3:00PM

Sessions will run for 15 minutes at the top of every hour starting at 9:00AM, with the last session at 3:00PM. Sessions provided by Reference and Instruction Librarian Megan Mamolen.

You can use the Library display case! The Library is happy to host displays from any department or organization on campus! This month, the Veteran's Center and the Lakeland Student Veterans of America are displaying military memorabilia in honor of Veteran's Day. Contact Ragan Snead at if you are interested in using the Library's display case.

Delivery Person

Lakeland Library Delivers!!

Lakeland faculty, staff, and administrators are eligible for delivery of OhioLINK, SearchOhio, and Interlibrary Loan items to be delivered to their office, classroom, or mailbox. 

Available items will be hand delivered weekdays between the hours of 9:00AM and 2:00PM.

Things to Know

  • We are currently transitioning to the new Safari e-books platform. Click on the link and login with your Lakeland email address to explore e-book content from a variety of fields, including technology, business, math, and science!
  • E-books are also available through the Lakeland catalog and OhioLINK. Search the catalog with your topic of interest, look for the e-book icons, and click the e-book links to read content right in your browser. No e-reader is required!
