Congratulations to Maria Shine Stewart, adjunct faculty in the English Department, for publishing "Taking the GRE: 37 Years After the First Time" in Inside Higher Ed. Maria also writes a weekly column for Sun Messages, and happily accepts ideas for both of her columns.

Submissions are now being accepted for Celebration of Research, an event designed to support and reward honors students who are interested in showcasing their research projects at Lakeland Library. Students will discuss their research during a poster presentation session. A $300 gift card will be awarded to the first place poster during the event reception. On Wednesday, February 13th, the Library hosted the President’s Coffee. Tom Hyland, Library Program Chair, Megan Mamolen, Reference and Instruction Librarian, and Ragan Snead, Circulation Coordinator, presented on the many services and resources offered by Lakeland Library that contribute to the success of Lakeland students. Attendees were also given an opportunity to explore the Library with games and information stationed at various service points.
We hope that everyone that attended had a great time and learned a little bit about what we do at Lakeland Library!
