The resources available through the three tabbed collections are a combination of print and digital formats.Items listed in search results from the Lakeland catalog are physical titles available in the library along with Ebooks you can access. The array of Ebooks available through the Lakeland catalog is not as comprehensive as the titles available through OhioLink center catalog and Electronic Book Center (EBC). Our collection at Lakeland, although designed to support the curriculum, is not nearly as expansive in scope as the holdings in libraries participating in OhioLINK. Since Lakeland is an active partner in OhioLINK, you have access to some of the finest libraries throughout the state of Ohio. Books you find in OhioLINK will again be print and digital formats. The Ebooks can be accessed immediately while the print books have to be ordered. Once you select and order a title, it ill be delivered to the Lakeland library in 5-7 working days. The EBC offers scholarly resources in a digital format, the titles are accessible both on and off campus.

Edwin Amenta and Neal Caren identify hundreds of movement organizations, from the Women's Christian Temperance Union to Occupy Wall Street, and document their treatment in the news. In doing so, Amenta and Caren provide an alternative account of US history from below, as it was refracted through journalistic lenses. Iconic organizations in the women's rights, African American civil rights, and environmental movements gained substantial media attention. But so too did now-forgotten groups, such as the German-American Alliance, Committee to Defend America by Aiding the Allies, and Peace and Freedom Party.
