This guide is designed to assist you with footnotes or endnotes and bibliographic references. Use the tabs at the top of the page to navigate this guide, the tabs are organized by topic.

• Chicago Style: The Core Elements tab includes information on formatting both notes and references. The Elements include a brief description commentary on the two different versions of the system. Formatting for authors and editors can be found under The Core Elements: Authors/Editors tab. Finally, information for the remaining elements of a reference can be found under The Core Elements: Source.
• For examples of sources for a bibliography, select the Chicago Style Examples tab.
• Supplemental online resources are available through the Chicago Style Web Resources page.
