Lakeland Library Edible Book Contest

2019 Edible Book Contest Information

Eligible Participants 

Lakeland students, faculty, and staff as well as community members affiliated with Lakeland Community College are encouraged to participate!

Acceptable Entries...

  • Must be inspired by a book.
  • Should be entirely edible with the exception of toothpicks, food wrappers, or other minimal decorations. 
  • Should not require refrigeration. Entries will be displayed for 2-3 hours.
  • Entries will not be eaten so while they must be edible, they do not have to be appetizing! Entries will not be judged on taste. 



Participates must register by Wednesday, September 4th. The registration form will include contact information and the book that will be represented. 

Group Submissions

Group submissions are welcome. There will be one prize awarded for the group. 

Judging & Prize Categories

Submissions will be displayed at Connect Fest in the library on Wednesday, September 11. Connect Fest attendees will vote for their favorites for each category throughout the event. Votes will be tallied and the winners will be announced at 1:30 pm.
