Anthropology: Professional Organizations

The American Anthropological Association covers the four main fields of anthropology: biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, archaeology and linguistic anthropology.

The American Association of Biological Anthropologists, or AABA, is the world's leading professional organization for biological anthropologists.

Forensic anthropology is the science of physical or biological anthropology involved in the legal process. Physical or biological anthropologists who specialize in forensics primarily focus their studies on the human skeleton and injuries that are inflicted on it.

The mission of the SAA is to promote research and expand the educational opportunities for archaeologists and work towards making the field more accessible.
