Celebration of Research: Home

To enter, students are asked to meet the following criteria:

• Students must be enrolled in classes at Lakeland at the time of proposal submission.
• Students can submit independent projects or group projects. Group project submissions are limited to three students in a group.
• Students may use an existing research assignment or service activity as inspiration for their project. Projects may come from any class or organization on campus. Additional research is at the discretion of the student and faculty mentor; students with completed projects from class or service activities do not need to perform additional research. Students may also design their own projects. 
• Students must select a faculty mentor for the Celebration of Research with preference given to the instructor or faculty mentor who developed the inspiration assignment. In the event that you are unable to locate a faculty mentor, please contact the library. 
• Students must submit a proposal of their work. Please see the proposal tab for guidelines.
• Students must submit a short paragraph about themselves and a photo for the reception program. 
• Students must create a poster and present their work to judges, faculty, staff, administrators, and family at the Celebration of Research event. Please see the poster and presentation tabs for guidelines.
