A guide to participating in Celebration of Research

What is the Celebration of Research?

Lakeland Library, in partnership with the Honors Program, is proud to present the Celebration of Research, an annual spring event designed to support and reward students who are interested in showcasing their research projects in a multidisciplinary setting. Each year, students are asked to demonstrate knowledge of their research projects through a presentation and interaction with judges.

This year, the top individual and group projects will be awarded the following prizes!

First place solo prize: $200.00 Visa gift card

Second place solo prize: $100.00 Visa gift card

Third place solo prize: $50.00 Visa gift card

Top group prize: $75.00 per group member for two person group; $50.00 per group member for three person group

Generously funded by the Lakeland Foundation and the Lakeland Honors Program.

How do I participate?

To enter, students are asked to meet the following criteria:

  • Students must be enrolled in classes at Lakeland at the time of proposal submission.
  • Students can submit independent projects or group projects. Group project submissions are limited to three students in a group.
  • Students may use an existing research assignment or service activity as inspiration for their project. Projects may come from any class or organization on campus. Students may also design their own projects.
