Founded in 2010, BlueWater Chamber Orchestra is a refreshingly unique professional ensemble dedicated to sharing great music with new audiences in metropolitan Cleveland, Ohio. Through engaging performances and community education, the group is reaching out to listeners from Avon to Amherst via neighborhood-based programs that bring classical music directly to their doors.

Donated to The Music Settlement in late 2013, BOP STOP is the place to see high-quality up-and-coming and well-established acts on the near-West side. All programming is booked by the staff at The Music Settlement; with a century's worth of musical expertise, you can be sure that a night out at the BOP STOP is always worthwhile.

In its first decade, CityMusic has explored a variety of social issues through intergenerational projects.

Under Music Director, Robert L. Cronquist, the orchestra provides performance opportunities for women musicians, showcases talented young soloists and performs a series of free “Gift of Music” outreach concerts for various social service agencies, schools, hospitals, retirement homes and nursing homes.

Founded in the summer of 2015, the Cleveland Cello Quartet is a dynamic new ensemble dedicated to promoting the cello as a versatile and eclectic instrument. Performing a genre-bending fusion of classical, jazz, and pop music, the group is quickly establishing itself as a fresh sound in the Cleveland music scene.

Since 1950 the Cleveland Chamber Music Society has presented the most outstanding chamber music ensembles and artists. Their educational efforts have included elementary and secondary school concerts, master classes in collaboration with regional university music departments and conservatories, a Young Artists Showcase presenting a rising ensemble, and a Youth Chamber Music Challenge for high school students.

The Cleveland Chamber Symphony (CCS) performs music of our time that dares to explore. They nurture composers, musicians and audiences through professional performances, recordings, commissions, and educational experiences.

The Cleveland Composers’ Guild is one of the nation’s oldest new music organizations, and has had over 200 composer members over its fifty year history. Over the past half-century, the CCG has built an enviable record of supporting new music, with recordings on the CRI, Crystal, Advent, and Capstone labels, and publication series from Ludwig and Galaxy.

The Cleveland Institute of Music is a premier conservatory devoted to training the next generation of classical musicians. Our alumni earn jobs in the world's finest orchestras, opera companies, educational institutions and use their extraordinary talent and technical mastery to build lifelong careers in music.

Their innovative blend of programing includes: full-scale Main Stage Productions, Opera UpClose experiences in alternative venues, the cutting-edge New Opera Works {NOW} Festival, and the FREE-to-the-Public Opera For All Summer Concert Series. Our Educational In-School, Community Artist, and Young Artist Programs educate and empower the artists and audience members of the future, and engage community members in the creative art making process of opera!

Many people find that the more they know about an art form, the more they enjoy it. The Cleveland Orchestra provides spoken, written, and audiovisual commentary on the music it performs, and it presents concerts in a variety of formats. Whatever your style of learning, you can easily find information about the music and the composers on the Orchestra’s programs.

The Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra is a full symphony orchestra which was founded in 1938 by three Cleveland area musicians - bass clarinetist Alfred Zetzer, oboist Robert Zupnik, and cellist Irving Klein - who all went on to professional careers. The orchestra's early membership consisted of players who were interested in gaining experience and familiarity with works they might encounter later in life if they pursued careers in music.

Northeast Ohio is brimming with musical talent and we look forward to working with guest conductors this season who represent some of the very best. Domenico Boyagian, music director and principal conductor of Cleveland Opera Theater, and Katherine Kilburn, assistant professor and director of orchestra at the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State University, will be making their first appearances with HCO. Yoon Jae Lee, founder, conductor and artistic director of Ensemble 212 (New York City), returns after a 2014 guest appearance with HCO to conduct the original versions of several well-known pieces.

The Lakeland Civic Orchestra is comprised of musicians of all ages and abilities, having very diversified backgrounds, from music teachers to office workers, college students, professionals and others. The orchestra is always accepting new musicians, but presently has a special need for all strings (violin, viola, cello and bass), oboe, bassoon and horn.

Les Délices (pronounced Lay day-lease) explores the dramatic potential and emotional resonance of long-forgotten music.

Named after the Dublin Red-Light District in James Joyce’s Ulysses, Nighttown, possesses the ambiance of turn of the century New York restaurants. Leaded, etched, and stained glass, combined with a collection of memorabilia from earlier eras decorate the six distinctly different dining rooms and three active bars.

Since it’s inception, the idea behind No Exit has been to serve as an outlet for the commission and performance of contemporary avant-garde concert music. Now in their eighth season and with well over fifty commissions to date, No Exit is going strong in their efforts to promote the music of living composers and to be an impetus for the creation of new works.

Quire Cleveland makes life more harmonious by introducing audiences to choral music not heard in the modern era — including modern premieres of works newly discovered or reconstructed — breathing life into the music of our shared heritage.

The Library and Archives is the most comprehensive repository of materials relating to the history of rock and roll. Our mission is to collect, preserve, and provide access to these resources for scholars, educators, students, journalists, and the general public in order to broaden awareness and understanding of rock and roll, its roots, and its impact on our society.

In 1958 six professional musicians living in Cleveland’s western suburbs formed the Rocky River Chamber Music Society (RRCMS) for the purpose of making a difference in the community through the presentation of high quality chamber music concerts.

The Suburban Symphony is one of Cleveland’s premiere community orchestras. Its eighty-plus musicians present five concerts annually.

They are committed to championing the works of living composers and specialize in performing works by composers based in the Rust Belt. Their artists, musicians and composers go beyond simply playing music for concert-goers but engage and involve them in intimate and rewarding experiences.

78th Street Studios is the largest art and design complex in Northeast Ohio, featuring 170,000 square feet of art galleries, artist studios, performance spaces, and music recording studios. We are home to the region's top Internet rock station, oWOW Radio and the country's 2nd largest rock and roll magazine, Alternative Press.

The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve is a unique archival facility and regional museum that preserves representative bodies of work created by Ohio visual artists and, through ongoing research, exhibition and educational programs, actively documents and promotes this cultural heritage for the benefit of the public.

The Waterloo Arts  building is located in the Waterloo Arts District and features the Waterloo Art Gallery, the Callaloo Cafe, artist studios and a large community center space for classes, rehearsals and performances.

The Cleveland Arts Education Consortium (CAEC) was established in 1999, and has been in-residence at Cleveland State University since 2008. Membership in CAEC is open to all Cuyahoga County 501(c)(3) organizations engaged in arts education activities within the county and Northeast Ohio for a minimum of two years. Combining a landmark historical building with a contemporary minimalist addition, the Transformer Station is a new anchor destination in Cleveland's rapidly evolving Ohio City neighborhood. The project brings a new cultural facility to a mixed residential and industrial neighborhood within walking distance of the restaurants and shops of the Market District and blocks away from the Gordon Square Arts District.

Zygote Press is an artist workshop promoting contemporary fine-art printing. Through advocacy, exhibitions, community programs, and affordable, professional workspace, Zygote stimulates collective exchange. Here, artists create new work, audiences explore new ideas, and collaborations strengthen our community.

In brief, the Cleveland Memory Project, launched in 2002, is a freely searchable online collection of digital photos, texts, oral histories, videos and other local history resources, built by the Michael Schwartz Library at the Cleveland State University in collaboration with a host of community partners around Northeast Ohio.
