Understanding Your Topic

Reference books are helpful when you need to know more about a topic before starting more specific research. Maybe you need to find some biographical information on a person, or you want to know more about a particular period in art or music. Reference books don't circulate (you can't take them out of the library) so they are always here when you need them. Below are some recommendations for reference resources in the humanities.
