This guide is designed for use by students of Mr. Peterlin's Astronomy course to complete their final project.

Searching for Books

Develop a broad understanding of your topic from a book, or use the books suggested here as inspiration for a topic! Books are available in both print and digital (e-book) formats. In addition to our Library, LCC students may borrow books from academic libraries throughout Ohio.

Searching for Books

Some tips for searching for books in Primo:

Navigate to our new Primo discovery search and login, using your myLakeland username and password. 

  • Use a keyword search to find books about a certain topic.
  • Some relevant keywords include:
    • astronomy
    • astronautics
    • telescopes
    • cosmology
  • Narrow your results list by clicking on books or book chapters under Resource Type on the left side of your results screen. 
  • Once you locate a book of interest, click on the title for access and more information. You can also browse the virtual library shelves at the bottom of the page to find additional related materials.
