What's Happening: Lakeland Astronomy Instructor Joe Peterlin and Librarian Megan Mamolen will give a free presentation with information and resources about the solar eclipse, including Joe's personal photos and video from the 2017 eclipse and a research guide highlighting library books, articles, and local events. Free snacks will be provided!

What's Happening: Several employee wellness week activities are scheduled in the library. Check out our relaxation zone and wellness resources during the scavenger hunt. Join us later in the week for a meditation session that focuses on connecting to others.
When: Scavenger hunt is 11:00am-1:00pm on Tuesday, April 2nd; Meditation is 10:00am on Thursday, April 4th.

Join Lakeland Library in Celebrating National Library Week, April 7th-April 13th , 2024
National Library Week is an annual celebration of our nation's libraries, promoting library use and support. This year’s theme is “Ready, Set, Library!" In addition to print books, eBooks, databases and periodicals, Lakeland Library provides research assistance, reference services and information literacy instruction. The library also supports the use of computers, printers, copiers, study spaces, relaxation areas, displays and other library resources.

Need a book that we don't have on campus? Try requesting material from OhioLINK! Lakeland students, faculty, and staff can order materials from other college libraries across the state, including OSU, KSU, Akron, UC, and even the Cleveland Clinic. Celebrate National Poetry Month with the Library!
"Launched by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996, National Poetry Month is a special occasion that celebrates poets’ integral role in our culture and that poetry matters." Interested in poetry activities and resources? Check out the Academy of American poets website for posters, class materials, and virtual programming. Lakeland Library also has a wonderful collection of poetry available for check out. Questions? Ask a reference librarian for more poetry resources.
