Welcome to the Lakeland Library Newsletter! Each month, we will showcase classes, events, and other fun and interesting facts about the Library and our staff. We will also keep you informed of new resources and services that are designed to assist you in your course work, and personal and professional lives.

Regional Business News has been upgraded!
Lakeland's Regional Business News database has now been upgraded to Regional Business News Plus! Enjoy even more news coverage, including full text newswires that incorporate news information from all over the world. Information provided by these sources covers business, political, economic and other diverse, international news events.

Stop by the Library, on the third floor of C-Building, C-3051, to browse some of our great new resources! New books are across from the Reference Desk.

Did you know you can request articles internationally using Primo?
When in Primo, simply select the "Interlibrary Loan" scope in the drop-down box and request a digital copy in the results page of your articles! Article requests are fulfilled by both national and international libraries. Questions? Contact Reference Librarians by emailing reflibrarian@lakelandcc.edu

Stop in the Library this week to check out our pumpkins and get some sweet treats! Library staff will be passing out candy all week!

Lakeland is getting a new library mobile app!
Library staff are hard at work collaborating with our vendor Ex Libris to bring all your favorite library resources to your phone and other mobile devices! The new library app is expected to be live for download from app stores by early Spring 2026 semester and will include your library account, Lakeland's Primo search, quick links to library help, quick polls, local weather forecasts and news feeds. Stay tuned for more information about downloading the app!
