Nexis Uni includes more than 15,000 business, legal, and news sources, and provides business information on more than 80 million U.S. and international companies. Sources include international, national, and regional newspapers, magazines, trade journals, newsletters, and transcripts of television and radio news programs.

The Nexis Uni homepage offers several ways to start your search for company information. The first is the All Nexis Uni search box at the top of the page. Use the company name and any additional keywords to search all of Nexis Uni for relevant results. Results may include everything from company financials, to company news, to court cases involving the company. There may be thousands of results, so use the various options in the left column of the search results screen to narrow your results.

Guided Search is the alternate option on the homepage. Use the Company Info button, and type a company name in the search box. The next box includes a dropdown menu that allows the user to select the type of information retrieved (Company Profile is the default selection). Click Search to see your results. Narrow results using the options in the left column of the results screen.

A third option in Nexis Uni to find company information is the Discover topics: Business box at the bottom of the homepage. Clicking this link will bring up a business-related search interface that allows the user to find various types of information.

The Company Dossier option at the left side allows the user find a company (or executive) by name and to create a company (or executive) list. The Company Dossier search will open to a Snapshot page, which contains some basic information about the company. Use the options on the left side of the snapshot to find specific types of information, such as:

• Company Information (brands, competitors, company hierarchy, and executives)
• Financial Overview (three-year reports of assets, liabilities, income, cash flow, balance sheet, ration analysis, stock information, and a list of products, if applicable)
• SEC Filings (several types are available)
• Company Reports (additional reports from sources such as Standard & Poor's, Worldscope International, Morningstar, and Reuters, as well as corporate affiliations)
• Industry Knowledge (industry overview, recent industry news, and other industry reports)
• Legal news, investments, intellectual property, and more

Use the Company Search on the right side of the page to search by company name or ticker. (Please note that this screen basically duplicates the information you can find using the other search options on the homepage, just using a different interface).
