Check out these new books, available in our library!

Library staff have been hard at work learning new technical workflows related to migration of our library service platform. The entire month of March has been dedicated to training and testing acquisitions (purchasing of library materials), cataloging, resource sharing with OhioLINK institutions, and updating patron information. 

We would also like to remind you that deadlines for getting your library materials ahead of our freezes are fast approaching:

FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2025

•Interlibrary Loan—ILL requests paused for the summer

FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2025

•OhioLINK & SearchOhio—Print resource sharing paused at 5 pm across academic and public consortiums

•Resumes mid to late June

•Plan ahead and request items for delivery by April 15

•Due dates for OhioLINK items will be extended

MONDAY, JUNE 9, 2025

•Go Live! for Primo VE (the new search tool)—Lakeland Library’s new search experience will be active!

Join Lakeland Library in Celebrating National Library Week, April 6th-April 12th, 2025

National Library Week is an annual celebration of our nation's libraries, promoting library use and support. This year’s theme is "Drawn to the Library." We will also be celebrating our library staff on Tuesday, April 8th for National Library Worker's Day. Stop by and say hello to your favorite library worker!

Celebrate National Poetry Month!

Everyone on campus is welcome to check out items from Lakeland Library's wonderful collection of poetry. The Academy of American Poets also has many free resources, including sign-ups for Poem-A-Day, "the original and only daily digital poetry series featuring over 250 new, previously unpublished poems by today’s talented poets each year."

Preview the New Interface for EBSCO Databases

As we announced earlier this year, the interfaces for all of our EBSCO databases (Academic Search Complete, CINAHL, MEDLINE, Business Source Complete, and many others) will receive upgrades this May. For another preview, check out our Points of View Reference Source database.
